Jungian Type (OEJTS 1.2)

personalityself-report~4 minoejts.v1

What it measures

32 quick either/or judgments between opposite statements, scored into four continuous preference dimensions and summarized as a 4-letter type leaning.

Open Extended Jungian Type Scales 1.2, openpsychometrics.org/tests/OEJTS (development documentation, 2015).

Validity & honesty

Type indicators dichotomize continuous traits — people near the middle can flip letters between sessions without anything real changing. The continuous scores are the meaningful result. This is the open-source OEJTS, not the official MBTI®, and if you know your MBTI type, expect agreement on your clear preferences but possibly different letters on any axis where you sit near the middle. Its author offers no reliability guarantees; treat the letters as a summary, not a diagnosis.

Cadence: a retake every 30 days is advised. You can retake anytime — early retakes are scored normally and flagged in trend analysis.

How this test works

Each of the 32 items shows two opposite statements, like “makes lists” and “relies on memory.”

  • Pick 1 or 2 if the left statement fits you better (1 = strongly), 4 or 5 if the right one does, 3 if you're genuinely in between.
  • There are no right answers and no trick items — your first instinct is the best data.
  • You'll get four preference scores and a 4-letter summary. We don't produce a 16-type personality portrait, because the evidence supports the four scores — not rich archetypes.
